Aston Martin DB9

Aston Martin made a surprise announcement these days. Officials have decided to discontinue the Virage in order to make room for an updated DB9. The vehicle in question here is a combination between the Virage’s styling and the engine and chassis from the Vanquish.
The DB9 will be available in both coupe and convertible (or Volante) versions and it will come equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes as standard and exclusively with the Touchtronic 2 six-speed gearbox. The vehicle weighs around 1790Kg, has a 50/50 weight distribution and rides on 20-inch five-spoke cast alloy silver wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires.
Under the bonnet, the 2013 AM DB9 has a 6.0-liter V12 engine that outputs 510 HP – 380 kW and 620 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine propels the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds all the way to a top speed of 295 km/h. The 2013 DB9 is more powerful than both the model it replaces and the axed Virage. It seems like a fair deal to me…
The interior looks similar to the Vantage. In fact, it’s rather curious that Aston Martin hasn’t fitted the new DB9 with the update seen first in the 2013 Vanquish.
The 2013 Aston Martin DB9 is already available for order, and the first clients will receive their cars next month in the United Kingdom and Western Europe. The price tag on this “silver surfer” starts from 131,995 pounds in the UK ; 174,994 Euros in Germany; $185,400 in U.S. and 21,995,000 JPY in Japan.Aston Martin DB9
