Bugatti Lor-Blanc
It seems like the mighty Veyron has been challenged quite a lot lately and some car models are really starting to catch up to its pace. With the distance between its competitors shortening each day, the French car-maker decided to raise the bar to a whole other level so nobody might steal the Veyron’s title.
A recent report by Automobile Magazine states that Bugatti will introduce an extreme version of the Veyron at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Dubbed the Veyron Super, the car will boast an upgraded 8.0- or 9.6-liter engine with over 1,600 HP – 1,177 kW at a touch of the pedal. This, combined with additional carbon fiber body parts, could enable the supercar to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 1.8 seconds reach a top speed of 463 km/h (288 mph). Even though the numbers sound like they might kill you, the magazine says they could very well become reality due to a 249 kg weight reduction over the SuperSport.
This means that the car would weigh around 1,600 kg (3,527 lbs) and have a power-to-weight ratio of one-to-one. There’s no news on the price tag but I’m pretty sure it will be over $2 million.
