Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

General Motors will premiere at the upcoming motor show from Los Angeles the most powerful convertible they ever built, the new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible. The car will have more power than a lot of its competitors and will go on sale after the summer of 2012.

Under the hood, the Camaro ZL1 Convertible “hides’ a 6.2L LSA engine which is able to produce 580 HP and 754 Nm of torque, an impressive power output that will take this convertible to breathtaking speeds. We don’t know any performance figures yet, but we’ll probably get them when the car is officially revealed to the public in LA.

From the standard Camaro, the ZL1 Convertible will feature several reinforcements such as a tower to tower brace under the hood, a transmission support reinforcement brace, an underbody tunnel brace, a front “X” brace and a rear underbody “V” brace, a stiffer cradle, pillars that include hydrofoamed tube and many, many more.
