Electric Bugatti
According to some fresh reports Bugatti has already built an 800 HP electric supercar but this prototype will never see the day light. This battery powered supercar was confirmed by a high level Bugatti source to Auto Express but its not clear weather the car will ever be displayed to the public.
The 800 HP Electric Bugatti supercar is believed to be based on the chassis of the Bentley Continental GT and its powered by two really powerful electric motors and an advanced lithium ion battery pack. These enormous motors apparently deliver 2,200 Nm of torque.
The working prototype was apparently made by Bugatti only to demonstrate the technology and allow engineers to explore the ultimate performance available from electric cars. This electric Bugatti supercar apparently delivers absolutely unbelievable acceleration, way ahead of that provided by other road going supercars.
The problem with this electric monster is that if its used to its maximum performance potential the batteries will last just a matter of minutes and the main challenge for the company in the future would be to manage the huge amounts of energy discharged during acceleration and required to keep batteries fully topped up.
We hope we’ll get more details about this 800 HP Battery-run Bugatti supercar in the future, because it sounds more than exciting!
